Version 1.0 Build 7.2
-
Improved audio stability — Reworked how the app recovers from audio interruptions (phone calls, Siri, alarms) and device changes so playback resumes reliably instead of going silent.
-
Headphone & device switching fixes — Plugging in or removing headphones, switching to Bluetooth, or changing your audio output mid-session no longer risks cutting the sound out.
-
Recovery from system audio resets — Added the ability to automatically rebuild the audio engine if the system resets it in the background, preventing the need to force-quit and reopen the app.
-
Eliminated audio dropouts — Addressed cases where sound could stop completely and require an app restart to come back.
-
Cleaner output / no more clipping static — Added a master safety stage that prevents the overall mix from distorting into static when many sounds play at once, while leaving normal-level audio untouched.
-
Smoother performance under load — Increased internal audio headroom to reduce glitches during busy playback and recording.
-
UI reflects audio state accurately — If audio ever can't recover, the transport now stops cleanly so the app no longer shows "playing" while silent.
Version 1.0 Build 6
-
Mixer meters — less UI stutter when opening the mixer during playback (meters isolated from the rest of the strip)
-
Loop pad flashes — pad highlights during loop playback work on all tabs again (not only on the performance screen)
-
Drum kit preview pads — sample name beside the pad only (no duplicate label on the pad face)
-
Bundled drum samples — stripped non-essential metadata from ~125 WAV files (DAW tags, etc.); audio unchanged
-
New Drum Kits - Added 4 new Drum Kits (arc-cajon, arc-lo-fi-1, arc-lo-fi-2, arc-ritual-1
- Drone intro — optional seconds of drone-only before loop/arrangement content when exporting with drone enabled
Version 1.0 Build 7.1
Sampler mode — fourth performance surface: 16-pad grid of your own audio on any track (T1–T6)
Sample instrument — set Instrument: Sample in Sound Design; samples are song-wide, layouts and recordings are per loop
Import & record — WAV, AIFF, or CAF import; mic capture up to 30 seconds per pad; trim, preview, loop region, and tempo tools in the pad editor
Pads & Keys — Pads for one-shots; Keys to pitch one source sample from a root pad (Scale or Chromatic mapping)
Set Root — assign and clear the Keys root from the performance header; pad labels show interval + sample name
Loop recording — arm a Sample track and overdub pad hits into that track’s loop (quantize/humanize same as synth)
Track FX — volume, pan, attack/release, EQ, Effects, Atmosphere, and Character apply to sample playback through the normal mixer strips
Erase — playhead scrub erase for sampler hits on armed Sample tracks (same model as Notes and Drums)
Clear Pad - arm the clear pad button then select any pad in the sampler view to clear the sample
ChopChop mode — session tool on Sampler Pads layout: split one loaded sample into one-shots on empty pads without leaving the performance screen
Live slice workflow — tap a source pad to loop its trim region; tap empty pads on the beat to mark slice boundaries (shared file, different trim per pad; source pad unchanged)
Chop waveform — source trim window, live playhead, and slice boundary marker while chopping
Loop-wrap auto-save — if the preview cycles before you finish a slice, the armed region saves through the source trim end
Synth PolyphonyPolyphony — 16 voices per synth track (up from 8) for denser chords, Hold latching, and overlapping harmony
Same-note retrigger — re-hitting the same note reuses its voice instead of stacking a new one, reducing dropouts when chords change or notes retrigger
Chords & scales-
Fixed chord names and roman numerals for modal scales (Mixolydian, Lydian, Dorian, Natural Minor, etc.) — labels now match the notes you hear, not a fixed major/minor table
-
Fixed enharmonic spelling on chord roots (e.g. Bb in C Mixolydian, Eb / Ab in minor modes — no more A# where Bb is correct)
-
Seventh and Sus modifier chords use the same corrected scale-aware naming
Mixer FX button — new FX control on every T1–T6 strip; lights when any insert is active
Insert FX rack — per-track creative chain opened from Mixer → FX: filter, compressor, gate, distortion, bit-crusher, ring modulator, and flanger
BPM delay — moved from Sound Design to Mixer → FX; Digital, Analog, and Tape styles with tempo-synced subdivisions (same as before)
Per-loop save — volume, pan, mute, solo, EQ, and insert FX all save with the active loop
Consolidated and refined the mixer layout to reduce the height
Added the playback section from the main pad screen on the mixer view to help with live playback and mixing on iPhone.
Track sound designEffects section — Tone reverb only on the Track tab; delay and creative processors now live in Mixer → FX
Atmosphere & Character — unchanged on the Track tab (Space Send tail and texture/warmth/width bed)
Restore Default Sound — resets tone reverb, Atmosphere, and Character only; use Reset in the FX sheet to clear insert FX
Recipes — loading a synth recipe still applies its delay to Mixer → FX on that track
Legacy songs — loops saved before insert FX was added keep their delay when you open them (migrated into the FX rack)
Sample tracksInsert FX — sample instrument tracks use the same Mixer → FX rack and signal chain as synth tracks
Synth presets (Sound Design → Track → Recipes)-
Hip-Hop Pocket — punchy resonant saw bass for boom-bap / hip-hop
-
Shadow Lows — dark woody square bass for downtempo / trip-hop
-
808 Sub — round sub bass for trap / hip-hop (pair with Character warmth + Hold mode)
-
Neon Crawl — fast 16th arpeggio with octave peak (retro synth / “upside-down” vibe)
-
Berlin Run — stepwise scalar 16th run (Berlin School sequencer feel)
-
ARP playback — each step now cuts the previous note before the next (monophonic ARP), so fast patterns like Berlin Run don’t stack into mud or click from voice stealing
-
Expanded ARP menu to 15 presets, including six new ambient/down-tempo patterns
-
Berlin Run updated to a faster, rolling maj7 triplet arpeggio
-
Neon Crawl added for retro synth-arp vibes
-
Refined Slow Drift and Deep Field for calmer, more spacious phrases
